Crisis Services

Our crisis centre provides continuous support to our clients 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. Our services are open to individuals who walk in, are referred to us by other agencies, or come into contact with the Main Street Project van patrol.

The area operates as a drop in between the hours of 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, and then converts to an emergency shelter between the hours of 7:00 pm and 6:15 am. Some of the primary services provided through this area include:

  • a drop in open to all, providing a safe and stable point of contact, information, support, and social interaction;
  • ongoing encouragement, information, and referrals to programming suitable to their personal needs and goals;
  • emergency food services, including soup and coffee/tea provided four times daily - click to view our serving times;
  • transportation services for clients in need of medical or treatment related access;
  • shower facilities, as well as access to various personal hygiene items, such as shavers, toothbrushes, etc.
  • access to no charge changes of clothing, outerwear, etc;
  • a range of other services supports that suit the individual needs of our clients.

Additional information on these services is available 24 hours a day at (204) 982-8245.
