Main Street Project’s annual benefit gala, Hope Grows Here, is an opportunity for individuals in the community to come together and support their community. On this special evening, we’ll provide delicious food, drinks, and entertainment while raising funds to continue to provide safety, shelter, and stability to those in need.

This year’s gala will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at The Fairmont Hotel. It promises to be a night to remember, filled with hope, compassion, and community. This exciting evening will feature some fabulous homegrown entertainment like Don Amero.

But why is this event so important to us?

We’re a not-for-profit organization that has been serving the Winnipeg community since 1972. Our mission is to provide safe and welcoming places of respite and healing with services that aim to reduce harm for people experiencing homelessness, substance use and/or mental health challenges, while working collaboratively to achieve measurable success in the journey to end homelessness.

We provide a range of programs and services, including an emergency shelter, a withdrawal management program, a case work program and more. Our vision is to see a community in which everyone has access to a safe space where dignity, respect and self-determination are supported

By attending Hope Grows Here, you can make a direct impact on Main Street Project’s ability to continue providing these critical services. Every ticket sold, auction item bid on, and donation made goes directly towards supporting our mission. It’s an opportunity to invest in the well-being of our community and help transform lives.

But the benefit of supporting Main Street Project doesn’t just end with the gala. By getting involved, you can become a part of a community of individuals who are committed to making a positive difference in the world. Main Street Project offers a range of volunteer opportunities, including helping at the shelter, assisting with fundraising events, and participating in outreach initiatives.

Volunteering with Main Street Project is not only a chance to give back to the community, but it’s also an opportunity to learn and grow as an individual. You’ll gain valuable skills, meet new people, and gain a greater understanding of the challenges facing those experiencing homelessness and addiction.

So mark your calendars and get your tickets! We hope to see you on May 18 for a night of hope and community!
