Main Street Project is thrilled to announce our new emergency shelter space, located at 637 Main Street, is open for guests.
This space will provide 24-7 drop in, plus low-barrier emergency safe sleeping space for up to 120 men on physically distanced cots each night. Women’s sleep space will remain at 190 Disraeli Freeway for the time being.
In a normal year, we’d do a big grand opening and celebrate this incredibly important moment in Main Street Project’s history together – but we all know this year is anything but normal. We look forward to celebrating once it’s safe to do so.
Thank you so much to our major donors who made this possible:
Dr. Nichole Riese
CP Loewen Family Foundation
Special thanks to Main Street Project’s Building Committee
