We are so excited to share with you that we’ve officially launched Into The Cold, a fundraiser for Main Street Project: https://mainstreetproject.akaraisin.com/ui/intothecold

This event is a DIY walk (run, cycle, sled, you name it!) fundraising event taking place throughout the month of March and is intended to raise much needed funds for Main Street Project’s Van Patrol Mobile Outreach Program.

We’re nearing the one year anniversary of COVID-19 hitting Manitoba, as well as the end of winter, and we know you must be feeling restless – we sure are. We’re encouraging all Manitobans to get outside for some exercise and fresh air and help us raise funds for this critically needed program while you’re at it.

Participants are welcome to start a team, join a team or join as an individual. Groups, families and classrooms can register as a team, if you like – just remember to keep it COVID safe and follow all public health orders.

Once you register and log into your fundraising page, you can do all kinds of fun things from your dashboard such as personalize your page, send emails, and track your donations. It’s pretty great and fairly easy to use.

PRIZES
Everyone who signs up will receive a welcome package with some super cute buttons, some stickers, and a voucher for a free coffee from our generous pals at Parlour Coffee and our friends at Fools and Horses.

We’ll also have prizes for most funds raised and most kilometers participated. To track your kilometers, you’ll need to have a Strava account – our event website links up with Strava seamlessly! Strava is a free app, available for your smart phone or GPS tracking. If you don’t have a smart phone or GPS tracker, you can also manually track your kms and update us via email.

So, to recap: visit our event website, register yourself or a team, get your fundraising page ready and share your fundraising page with your network so they can pledge your March activities in support in Main Street Project!
