Winnipeg is famous for its summers, but the heat – and the more frequent days of extreme heat – leaves our community members at risk of dehydration and heat-related illness such as heat exhaustion or heat stroke.
To help keep the community safe, Main Street Project has kicked off our annual bottled water drive to help prepare for the upcoming summer months and we are very much in need of donated water for the community. Through MSP’s mobile outreach and our emergency shelter, we provide hundreds of bottles of water a day to community members who otherwise have minimal access to clean drinking water. We need all the help we can get!
Here’s how you can help:
Bring donations of bottled water to MSP’s 661 Main Street Food and Essentials Market (to the back lane, please!) Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Donations of bottled water can also be brought to:
These Vickar Auto locations:
Vickar Nissan 1424 Regent Avenue West
Vickar Ford 2000 Main Street

If you cannot stop by to donate in person, please consider making a financial donation at www.mainstreetproject.ca – you can indicate ‘for water donations’ in your note, and we will take care of getting water!
If you’re a local school or business, we’d love your help by doing a bottled water drive. Email us with questions, or to coordinate water drop off.
